Car Seats Keep Kids Safe

When you're traveling, it's always important that you take the proper precautions to keep your children safe. Car seats have been designed to reduce the likelihood and/or severity of injury in the event of an accident.

The youngest riders should be in rear-facing car seats. Some recommend that they ride backwards for at least two years, even more if possible. When children outgrow their infant seats, they can ride in convertible seats that can be both rear- and front-faced. Make sure you're using a five-point harness to keep kids buckled in securely. When children reach the top limit of the height and weight limitations of a car seat, which usually happens around age four, they can move on to a booster seat.
